The first segment of the retreat will begin on Saturday, July 25, with dinner at 6pm, and will end after breakfast on Wednesday, August 5. Registration begins at 2:30pm on July 25. Plan to arrive between 2:30pm and no later than 6pm to give time to complete your registration and settle in before dinner. There will be a welcome and orientation meeting at 8pm. Please note that there may be up to 10 hours of meditation per day during the first part of the retreat.

The second segment of the retreat will begin on Wednesday, August 5, with dinner at 6pm, and will end at around 4pm on Sunday, August 16. Registration begins at 2:30pm on August 5, and the rest of the schedule for that day/evening will be the same as above.

The newly renovated Hotel Demidoff where the retreat is held, is a 4-star hotel  situated on fifteen acres of greenery in the hills above Florence. Accomodation at the Demidoff at this point is limited because of the number of registrants. We still have some space for Part 1 and for the entire retreat. However for Part 2 only, all double rooms at Demidoff hotel are now booked.  A few single rooms are available. We are however offering double room accommodation at other charming local Tuscan hotels. Transport to and from the retreat venue is included in the cost.

There will be a €100 cancellation fee for written requests received before June 25 Written cancellation requests received after June 26 will be charged a €500 cancellation fee. The retreat begins on July 25; no refunds will be provided on or after that date.

If you request to switch your retreat choice after you had registered, there will be an additional €60 administration fee. For those who request to attend the whole retreat after registering for one part, the administration fee is waived.

The schedule and times of sessions with Andrew will be announced during the intensive and may vary from day to day. Generally however, you will engage in two or three sessions with Andrew each day, which are devoted to silent meditation, talks, open dialogues with Andrew, or a combination of these. In part 1, there will be more sessions dedicated to meditation and will be largely in silence. In part 2, the periods between sessions are an opportunity for participants to pursue their own independent inquiry into the meaning and significance of Evolutionary Enlightenment, either through personal meditation and contemplation or in the discussions that are always a powerful and transformative feature of these events.

The weather in Italy is typically hot and sunny in August, though the hills can cool down in the evenings. Thunderstorms are not uncommon. Because the retreat locale is air conditioned, a light wrap or sweater could be useful. Comfortable summer clothing that can be layered is recommended.

Andrew’s books, audios, and videos, as well as information on future events, will be available at the end of both retreats. It will also be possible to purchase CD and MP3 recordings of all of the sessions.
