EnlightenNext’s Second Annual
Being and Becoming Retreat

Retreat 1: Being (August 1–12)
During these 10 days, you will:

• Immerse yourself in the liberating depths of enlightened awareness known as the Ground of Being, or the empty ground of consciousness itself
• Experience a radically positive sense of freedom, wholeness, and selfhood beyond boundaries.

Retreat 2: Becoming (August 12–23)
During these 10 days, you will:

• Engage in a dynamic exploration of the evolutionary process at work in the self, in culture, and in the cosmos
• Learn to awaken the creative impulse of the universe—known at EnlightenNext as the Authentic Self—within yourself and in others.

During the second retreat, you will have the unique opportunity to engage in dialogue with Andrew Cohen and other retreat participants to identify, investigate, and directly experience the cosmic creative impulse we refer to at EnlightenNext as the Authentic Self.

The Authentic Self is the very same creative force that initiated the entire process of evolution at the moment the universe began. It is the surging “YES” that we feel in our own experience when we realize our potential to grow, to change, to become better and more whole than we are now.

When this inspired energy is awakened between people, it unleashes an urgent and ecstatic outpouring of desire to create a better future together. As the retreat deepens, you will experience a kind of supercharged engagement with others that generates a shared higher consciousness in which trust, openness, and mutual interest in what’s possible become the very basis for your relationships. This collective process, as you will no doubt discover, is what forms the foundation for a new culture to emerge.

The Being and Becoming Retreat is just one part of a dynamic initiative called the EnlightenNext Discovery Cycle. Organized around two major annual events—the annual Being and Becoming Retreat and the annual EnlightenNext Virtual Conference for Evolutionaries—the Discovery Cycle is a large, collective, continuously evolving process that enables everyone who is interested in changing the world to personally participate in the evolution of human consciousness and culture.

By becoming part of this multifaceted, highly engaged cocreative process, you will be helping to build a seamless connection between the awakening of consciousness and the creation of a new culture. We’re trying to make sense out of life in the deepest way possible, and the EnlightenNext Discovery Cycle is really the most recent expression of a spiritual teaching that has been continuously evolving for more than two decades. Through your participation, you will benefit from many years of hard work in this field, and most importantly, you’ll find yourself in a unique position to begin developing and enacting new human possibilities, starting with yourself.
