In Times of Crisis, Philosophy is not a Luxury:
An exploration of Evolutionary Philosophy and the reality of human life.
Crisis occurs when circumstances change faster than we can. In such times we are tempted to see philosophy as a luxury item that we can no longer afford. In truth our ability to respond effectively to life is completely dependent on our fundamental convictions about what is ultimately real and true. In this talk you will learn how philosophical introspection can uncover deep and often unconsciously held cultural attitudes and personal beliefs that limit your ability to respond. In particular, we will discuss philosophy in the light of our current global challenges which fundamentally result from the fact that the world is changing faster than human beings can keep up with. This event is an opportunity to think deeply about life and challenge your core beliefs about what is real and true.
As Director of Education at EnlightenNext, Jeff Carreira oversees education and membership programmes which support a growing global network of individuals committed to guiding humanity through an evolutionary leap in consciousness.
