From Airport
By Taxi directly to Jaffa
The fastest and most convenient alternative, especially when shared with up to four people. Taxi is the only option on Saturdays and daily after the trains and buses stop running at night. Airport taxi fare is about 85 NIS (basic rate).
Note: Get a taxi only at the official airport taxi station, which is to the left of the left-hand exit of the arrivals terminal. The taxi fare is determined by a meter. There are surcharges for a third passenger and each item of luggage. The evening/night/Saturday rate costs about 20% more. The journey from the airport to the center takes about 20 minutes when traffic is light. Traffic is usually very heavy Sun-Fri between 7 and 9 am, at which time the train may be a faster option.
If the taxi driver asks for directions, say that you need Margoza Street at the corner of Hanina St, in Jaffa.
By Train to Tel Aviv, and then by taxi to Jaffa
It is cheaper but less convenient to catch the train to the HaHaganah railway station in Tel Aviv and catch a taxi to Jaffa from there. Airport train fare is 12 NIS.
By Train to Tel Aviv, and then by bus to Jaffa
The cheapest alternative (not recommended if you're carrying anything more than a reasonably sized backpack) is to walk the few hundred meters from HaHaganah railway station to the central bus station and take bus number 46 from its terminal. Access is easy: turn left out of the railway station and walk on straight to the bus station, which is a massive building on the left. See below for details on the number 46 bus.
From Main Bus Terminal
Take number 46 bus from the main bus terminal, which is inside the station on the ground floor. Get off at Andromeda Hill on Yefet street (the 2nd stop after the clock tower in Jaffa). Cross the street and turn left into Margoza Street. The center is further down on the left-hand side at the junction with Hanina Street. Bus fare is 5.50 NIS.
